Who We Are
What started as an all-volunteer effort grew from a shared passion for art, creativity, and community. Volunteers came together to collect, organize, and redistribute art materials that might otherwise go unused—connecting resources with the people who needed them.
Today, CFAX continues to be rooted in that same community spirit. We bring together artists, educators, students, families, and creative people of all kinds, creating opportunities to share resources, inspire creativity, and make a difference through art. We’re community-built, volunteer-driven, and passionate about keeping creativity within reach.
What We Do
At Cape Fear ArtXchange, we believe everyone deserves access to creativity. We connect artists, educators, students, and the community with affordable art supplies, creative resources, educational opportunities, and programs that make art more accessible to everyone.
Through our programs and partnerships, we:
- Provide affordable art supplies to artists, teachers, students, and community members.
- Support educators through teacher supply grants and classroom resources.
- Expand access to creative opportunities through workshops, programs, and community initiatives.
- Give art materials a second life by collecting and redistributing gently used and surplus supplies.
- Build connections among artists, educators, nonprofits, and the broader community.
- Strengthen our community through creativity, making it easier for people of all ages and backgrounds to explore, learn, and create.
We’re more than an art supply resource—we’re a place where creativity is shared, supported, and put back into the community.
