The Advisor meets one-on-one with clients to discuss their individual situations and provide support in their best interests. This role requires the ability to handle sensitive client conditions with professionalism, empathy, and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and ensure intake forms are completed in entirety
- Determine immediate need and how best to mitigate the crisis
- Make sure required documentation is collected
- Offer guidance to other support services
- Document pertinent information on intake form
- Communicate pending action or resolution of crisis clearly with staff and on intake form
- Practice empathy and avoid judgment
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with office technology
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to assist individuals and guide them
- Sensitivity to classified information
