IndependentWorks is seeking individuals who would be willing to dedicate time and energy to our mission: creating a safe, affordable, interdependent housing community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Board of Advisors and Directors currently meeteets the 2nd Monday of each month at 6 PM - in-person at the Harrelson Center, with a Zoom option. We are particularly interested in people with legal, accounting, construction, fund-raising, and development backgrounds, though we would welcome anyone with a strong interest in creating both a sense of community for people with disabilities, and eventually an actual housing communty. IndependentWorks is entirely run by volunteers, and members of the Board of Directors and Advisors not only put in time at the board meetings, but often participate in our regular events.
