The Healing Place of New Hanover County is a nonprofit, peer-driven recovery organization dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance use disorder and homelessness. Through residential recovery, peer support, and recovery-focused services, we provide individuals with the tools, structure, and community needed to build healthy, productive lives.

History Founded in partnership with New Hanover County and based on the nationally recognized Healing Place recovery model, The Healing Place of New Hanover County was established to address the growing need for accessible, long-term recovery services in southeastern North Carolina. Since opening, we have helped thousands of individuals begin their recovery journey and rebuild their lives through a community-centered, peer-driven approach.
