Volunteer at the 13th Annual Back 2 School Bash!
Help make sure every student in New Hanover County starts the school year ready to succeed. Warner Temple AME Zion Church, WIMA, and community partners are hosting the 13th Annual Back 2 School Bash, providing free school supplies to students in grades K–12, along with free food, games, and local vendors. Volunteers are the heart of this effort, and there are several ways to get involved:
Thursday, July 30 | 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Warner Temple Church Help pack book bags with school supplies. Come for the full day or part of it.
Friday, July 31 | DC Virgo Preparatory Academy Help transport the packed book bags and set up for the main event.
Saturday, August 1 | 12:00 Noon – 3:00 p.m. | DC Virgo Preparatory Academy, 816 Nixon Street, Wilmington, NC 28401 Join us for the main event! Volunteers can pass out book bags, assist with food service, greet families, and serve wherever help is needed.
No special experience is required, just a willingness to serve and a heart for our community's students and families. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals, families, and groups looking to make a direct impact right here in Wilmington.
